چکیده
This paper proposes a current-reference generation method including current harmonic injection (CHI) for enhancing the torque capability of multiphase induction machines (IMs) with negligible space-harmonic effects, which is useful, e.g., during transient overload in electric vehicles. The admissible increased because harmonics reduce phase-current peaks, so that instantaneous peak-current constraint drive, usually associated converter ratings, respected. are injected so-called x-y subspaces IM, do not produce torque, no ripple introduced. optimum found online each load, making it possible to minimize stator copper loss (SCL) per entire range, ensuring full-range minimum (FRML). suitable healthy operation or open-phase faults, and any phase number either symmetrical asymmetrical windings. Compared FRML methods without CHI, higher achieved. Although some techniques were available increasing by was attained, laborious offline optimization needed, they only specific drives conditions, unlike proposal. Experimental results six-phase IM provided.

Stator Current Harmonic Assessment of Induction Motor for Fault Diagnosis
This paper presents an assessment of motor current signature analysis for fault diagnosis of an induction motor. Single phasing fault has been considered and stator current harmonics are analyzed by assessing peaks and symmetry in harmonic spectrums both at normal condition and at fault condition. ‘db4’ is used for current signature analysis wavelet decomposition. A comparative observation is m...
متن کاملstator resistance estimation in direct vector control for high performance torque controlled induction motor drives
sensorless speed torque control of induction machines has been widely used in many industrial applications. the simple method of direct vector control can provide tacholess control as well as more complex approaches. in this method, the motor flux can be obtained by measuring voltage and current and integrating motor back electromotive force. the only required motor parameter is stator resistan...

Open-Phase Fault Operation on Multiphase Induction Motor Drives
Multiphase machines have been recognized in the last few years like an attractive alterna‐ tive to conventional three-phase ones. This is due to their usefulness in a niche of applica‐ tions where the reduction in the total power per phase and, mainly, the high overall system reliability and the ability of using the multiphase machine in faulty conditions are required. Electric vehicle and rail...
متن کاملFuzzy Direct Torque-controlled Induction Motor Drives for Traction with Neural Compensation of Stator Resistance
In this chapter, a new method for stator resistance compensation in direct torque control (DTC) drives, based on neural networks, is presented. The estimation of electromagnetic torque and stator flux linkages using the measured stator voltages and currents is crucial to the success of DTC drives. The estimation is dependent only on one machine parame‐ ter, which is the stator resistance. Chang...
